A look at three of the more compelling games in the final week of the NBA regular season:

Boston at Atlanta

Saturday, 7:30 p.m.

Huge Eastern Conference playoff implications in this one as the Celtics and Hawks are in a dogfight with Miami and Charlotte for the third through sixth seeds. The winner could very well end up third which would put them on a second-round track with the Raptors.

Memphis at L.A. Clippers

Tuesday, 10:30 p.m.

When the Grizzlies were freefalling and losing eight of 10, coach Dave Joeger was adamant he wanted them to hang on to fifth in the West so they’d get the Clippers in the first round of the playoffs. Looks like that might happen, turning this into something of a preview game.

Utah at L.A. Lakers

Wednesday, 10:30 p.m.

This game could mean everything to the Jazz in their battle with Dallas and Houston for the final two Western Conference playoff spots. And that story will become so secondary it’s not even funny because the night marks the final game in the Hall of Fame career of one Kobe Bryant.
